Magic Ston is messy!

My first experience with Magic Ston was on the small wing of this house - and I didn't do a great job with it! I layered it on too thickly, and as I peeled the stencil tape off, some of the underlying paint came off with it, leaving yellow gaps in my stone. I went back and painted the holes over with charcoal, now I have to decide if I'm going to leave them that way or attempt to stone over it.

Also, because I put the mortar on so thick, some of my stones ran together, so now I have to chisel spaces between them or perhaps even scrape parts of it off and re-stone.
