painting plates & bowls: I

havanaholly

I found unpainted wooden plates & bowls in the "woodsies" section of one of the craft stores. I primed them with white spray paint (I have learned that sticking wee things to long strips of masking tape stuck to pieces of waxed paper over newspaper sorks for priming with spray paint).

I have a very fine-tip gold marker pen I used to trim the edges of the bowls.

"The Sprig of Holly's" basic color scheme is read & green & a design for plates & bowls sort of materialized in my mind, so I began by painting leaves.
