This is the fireplace and oven for my Hansel & Gretel house. I made the "cast iron" oven from the Buttercup door pieces. I can always make another door, right? The oven door opens, sort of. Not all the way as I intended, but enough I think. I still have to build the oven box behind it, fix some loose stone, and make a stone hearth under the fire. I love the flames - I got them on etsy, battery powered, and they flicker realistically! I'm not wiring this house, but this firelight (and maybe a couple of hidden tealights) should be enough light in such a small cottage. The floor slates and fireplace stone are from various egg cartons.
