abloom 253 Posted March 20, 2018 I got the sweet little boy and girl dolls with a set of other dolls I bought on ebay a while ago, and I've been thinking they'd be perfect for Hansel and Gretel. I've always been fascinated by Grimm's fairy tales in general and this old world nightmare in particular. Now I've become obsessed with building the witch's gingerbread house (to be a Buttercup), even though I'm up to my neck in another dollhouse project. While I'm waiting for the kit to arrive (hopefully today!) I decided to make the witch. I'll be listening to her as I try to create her enticing and dangerous little house. Quote Link to comment

I made her head and hands out of paperclay - the little bit of shrinking and cracking as it dried didn't hurt her looks too much The rest of her is just cardboard, wire, and bits of fabric. You're right, I haven't even started on the house but I'm having fun already! 1 Quote Link to comment

Thank you! Yes, it is pure joy when the project seems to take on a life of its own. And I love the little Buttercup. I can't wait to start building! Quote Link to comment
