This chair gives "unique" a whole new depth of meaning. Love it! Can you  tell what the "horns" are made from? Claws?

I’ve got no words...like who says “I’ve got all these horns laying around, what should I do with them? I know I’ll make a mini chair out of them.”

I mean it’s bad a*# but yeah...cool find!

Totally cool.  It kind of looks like it belongs in a big game hunter's trophy room.  (Can you tell I'm reading a bio of Teddy Roosevelt?)

So check this out: https://www.google.com/culturalinstitute/beta/exhibit/eAKihQXhk02ZLQ  Unfortunately, you're going to have to scroll through a few images.  Here's another one, but not as good:  https://www.gettyimages.com/event/years-since-the-birth-of-teddy-roosevelt-81079005#theodore-roosevelts-cattle-horn-chair-and-desk-in-sagamore-hill-picture-id77857505  Does it look at all familiar?  I had a feeling I had seen this chair before.  The color of the leather is not the same, but there had to be some inspiration there.  I've kind of become obsessed with the idea of doing the library at Roosevelt's Sagamore Hill home in half scale, so I've looked at a lot of pictures of that house.  This chair is actually in his gun room.  So there you are--it really does/should belong to a big game hunter.

Not sure if it's the same one.  Mine is The Bully Pulpit by Doris Kearns Goodwin.  Very good.

Nope different. I bought this one. Haven't started it yet. I love Doris Kearns Goodwin though so I might have to seek that out. She's one of my favourite contributors on my favourite show.. Meet the Press... lol... Yes, political nerd here.

Oh yes! There was definitely inspiration taken from here for sure! I'm not a fan of big game hunting, but I'm oddly drawn to hunting rooms.. totally paradoxical I know but :dunno:.

I have always loved those English style hunting/sporting rooms you see in Ralph Lauren catalogues. :) I'm going to have to think on this some more... Maybe I'll build a manly study/library in one of my houses. :)

It does! Doesn't it? I think horns are not claws, I can't really tell what they are, maybe plastic or resin. They aren't very heavy.

Haha... well the signature looks like it says B (could be a P) Blankenford # 156, so obviously they did and they made over 100! lol
