Starting with the dry fit: I know it looks a bit wonky, but that is because things are taped in place.  They will look less wonky once they are glued in.  Everything is cut to fit to perfection, and the tape gets in the way a bit.  Also, the train car will be raised up off the base.  It’s only sitting on the base now for the dry fit.  I have to tell you, this kit has everything, down to the tiniest little knobs and handles.
