This is blurry, but you get the idea of why I need to figure out how to redo these stairs. Green Marble was interesting, but the banisters need help. Notice the stairs by the door - the banister is AGAINST THE WALL, lol...the balustrades and newelpost are against the wall while the other side is open. What happened there?

I'm looking into other balustrades/banisters - including laser trims.

If you wanted to, you could buy the original die-sheet with the stairs? Then update the spindles and rails to your liking?

Were they built backwards? I need to look at a picture of the stairs in another house......

They are pretty funny, no?

Here's a pic of the correct original staircase: https://i.pinimg.com/736x/a6/47/41/a64741f31c4e88bbeed0720d54281e53--dollhouse-staircase-beacon-hill-dollhouse.jpg

I am still surprised by the banister being against the wall...it's just funny.

Yep, you have a set of suicide stairs. Things that make you ask, "what were they thinking?"

Lol suicide stairs!

I am probably going to pry the 2nd floor stairs out, and smooth them out and fix the banisters.

1st floor will probably just get a paint job. The original builder did nice wood staining, so I want to keep that. But the green marble - I wonder what set them in that direction? I will never know.

Um, yup that green marble is certainly overwhelming, but it looks like they did a nice job of the effect at least.. :) Those stair railings on the bottom flight are hilarious.. :D

I'm betting it was an accident, & rather than admit it & redo it, they said "No, I meant to do that!" & left it.
