Victoria's Farmhouse - Back Complete

sparklepuppies

This house has nice big rooms. But that did cause me some troubles with paper and flooring, because most of the standard weren't quite big enough! So I did a lot of fighting with it, but we finally came to agreements and I got it done. :)

For the wood floors, I used wood veneer sheets cut into strips, and laid individually. I am really happy with how they turned out.

Love the interiors, so much space and the decor looks perfect to me. It's normal to struggle with wallpapper sometimes, I stress a lot with gables and often takes me several tries to get it right lol. I'm also very fond of veneers for flooring, easy to use and get that perfectly smooth surface :) Great job, love this house!

Looking through all the pics I was wondering about the floors.  They look great , I may have to try the veneer sheets sometime.  Can those be found in stores or do you have to order online?

I ordered them from eBay a few years ago, and this was the first project I got around to using them. There was a variety of colors in the pack I got. I've seen them other places since, but I can't remember where.

The sheets are about 4x8", and I cut them into 1/2" strips with a paper cutter. They are peel and stick, so that was super easy!

You can also buy veneer on a roll from places like Home Depot, and then iron it on. That had the advantage of not having to cut into strips. But if you wanted to do a parquet floor or anything with other shapes, these sheets would be better.
