We've brought in the tree now looking for a spot to put Moms skates. I hope we don't run out of time to create Mom..and I hope that tree gets decorated ;)

Yesterday I finished Katie, she looks so cute, gave her a messy bun and made her nightgown by reducing a Susan Sirkis pattern for a lady size doll.

Katies nightgown is peach batiste, with narrow French cotton lace trim. She has ivory and peach  silk ribbons wrapped in her two tone blonde viscose hair.

Mold credit: Katie was bought as a blank, which means unassembled, unpainted porcelain parts. The blank was created from a Cynthia Howe mold named Katie.

Thanks Kathie, this particular batiste was nice but not as soft as the bearissima batiste, that's my new favorite fabric.

She really is a sweet thing. Seeing you're pretty doll makes me want to try it BUT that's for another year .

I"m accutally shocked at how miniatures are so addictive . First a dollhouse and furnishing , then the pretty stuff , have to have an animal or two , then another house , then another house , oh and then 3 more house waiting , more furniture and stuff .

I THINK A DOLLHOUSE SHOULD COME WITH THE      WARNING - THIS CAN BECOME ADDITIVE

Thanks, at one time she had a long ponytail lol. At least it's easy to change your mind, nothing is irreversible.

The messy bun is perfect for her.  Not sure if you did it also but the floor looks great too.

Yes I did, I'm a dollhouse builder who suddenly, surprisingly discovered I also love making dolls lol, thanks about her hair. The floor is basswood cut into strips.
