Bloomers and slippers

WyckedWood

Today I got the oldest little girls (Cynthia Howes Katie mold) bloomers sewn and made some cute little fuzzy slippers from bunka. At least her toes are warm now :)

My process of adjusting the pattern to fit, and making it several times before I cut into the bearissima Swiss batiste which is more or as expensive as silk and so wonderful! Jeannine told me about it, so glad I bought some to try. Once I have the pattern size correct (graph paper helps make the adjustments) , I trace the card stock template onto freezer paper, cut it out then use that as a template, it sticks to the fabric (touched with iron) so the shape can be cut out easily and accurately without pins. The original pattern came from a booklet by Viola Williams, Dressing and Assembling dollhouse dolls (something like that) it's been one of the better pattern sources. It was included in an eBay lot of pattern books that I bought but I haven't seen it for sale any where else, glad I happened to get it.
