Saltspring Farmhouse front
This is the front of the farmhouse as it was when I first received it. You can see a little trim missing on the eaves. It did have wood gutters and probably downspouts at least on the porch where one beat up one remains. I am not sure how to fix or replace this one but I like the idea of having it. There is only one porch post. It may be hard to match. It has small dowels in the ends so that it can be removed. The trim along the porch top is missing as well so the porch unit however it looked is gone now. The previous owner took the time to clean it thoroughly before they sold it to me and although it had not been shingled there is a spot here on the porch where 3 of the rows are started clearly as a demonstration of how to do it. There are short notes in pencil describing clearly the order of the rows. Such very nice gestures from the seller and so appreciated. I will copy her and pass it on if I ever give up a partly finished dollhouse.
