study trim - linen color - should windows be same color?

miniaddicted

The rest of the house has white/off white trim, but I want to tone down the white contrast in this room. I am using Linen on baseboard and crown - should I paint windows and door same color?

Honestly it took me a bit to even figure out that the baseboards are a different color, With out you pointing it out I didn't notice so I think its workable this way to, what is preferable to you? If you don't want to leave as is I would paint the baseboard since the rest of the house has it.

Debora, my picture doesn't really make the color variation clear. This is a tough room to photograph.

Kathie, I'm leaning towards painting the windows and door the same linen. I'm going to give the baseboards one more coat and perhaps stick up crown to get a better sense of it before making a decision.

I agree you should paint them... If you don't the stark white of the windows may just make the baseboards look like they are dirty or discoloured over time.. instead of an intentional colour. The room is looking lovely though, and I really like the baseboard colour with the floor and wallpaper.
