As I mentioned in a previous post, I initially wanted stained wood cabinets, but the wood grain just looked off.  So I ended up painting them yellow (thanks to input from this forum), and I’m very happy with them.  I also did some paint on the walls, and limited the wallpaper to the soffit and areas without cabinets, because otherwise it just seemed too busy.  I hadn’t intended to paint the left-side cabinet; was going to let it be more like a transitional piece of furniture.  However, now that I look at it in the pictures, I think that it needs to go yellow, too.

Such a spacious kitchen too.

Thank you.  It is.  It's the most spacious miniature kitchen I've ever worked on, and it's such a pleasure!

I've always wondered why you weren't painting that piece and thought you should be.. but now that I see it here with the other half finished I don't mind it. I guess it really depends on how you are going to treat the door & trim between it an the kitchen. Is it staying natural or getting painted as well?

I was going to do all the woodwork natural (light-colored stain and poly).  However, in the kitchen, I could paint it white.

Aww the kitchen is so cute!!! Love the cabinets, the blue on the background really makes them stand out, I agree it would look a bit too busy with the pattern. I would perhaps also remove the pattern from that trim above the cabinets, and make it a solid color or wood (to match the door). I also think the left side cabinet would look great painted to match. All the decorations you added are really charming, I'm guessing the table and chairs are 3D printed, they look fantastic!
