Using Popsicle sticks to make fish scale trim. Not as fast as I had anticipated.  I am also adding windows to the gable ends.

The popsicle stick shingles are inspired. 

It appears that the window will ride on top of the shingles. There is another option. Perhaps you considered it. Some folks put the window in place temporarily and scribe a line around it to determine its footprint. Then they shingle up to the line. When the window is later inserted, it fits flush to the under-roof and the shingles neatly butt up against it.

Very, very clever with the Popsicle sticks.  You'd never know, to look at them, that they weren't actual shingles.  You've done a really nice job of cutting and fitting them.

Thanks for the tip. Yea, I made more work for myself. I'm going to have to do some creative caulking and trim enhancement (sounds like plastic surgery) to get the window in there properly.
