Managed to squeeze in a bit of storage without filling up the room too much, I plan to add a few more decorations in the future when I find time and patience to work on them, or just random cute findings.

I assembled the dumb waiter from a kit, closeup here, the others were random Bespaq finds. The typewriter was made from scratch by me, closeup and details here. Most of the sculptures in this room are pieces I have for a really long time. The little cats were a gift from my mom, they are very dear to me :) The egyptian statue is actually carved from real stone and it's a funerary amulet, not sure what time period I never bothered to have it dated lol. The odd things you'd find in my house!

I am doing experiments with 3D printed plastic glasses, they look okay I guess. I have a small pair of brandy glasses on the tray by the shelf (you can only see 1 in the picture), I don't think any sane glass worker would ever agree to try to make those in this scale so these looked like a good alternative. I removed their frosting appearance using a clear gloss varnish. I'll add more small details in when I find the time and patience to work on them.

Really love your color coordination, BTW which piece is the dumb waiter? I know I really loving the shelving to the far left, its unusual and fits in so well.

It's this one here (1:24), the 1:12 kit is here, makes me wish I had one in 1:1 scale as well, lol.

Love all the details,  and your explanation of where things  came from.  I'm always interested in things like that.  A dumb waiter is something different in this country--it's like a little freight elevator that is used to move things from one floor to another (like from a basement kitchen up to a dining room).  Yours is really cute, though.  Do you have your own 3D printer (for the glasses), or did you send specifications and have them printed elsewhere?

Oh I think I know what you mean, yes those are called dumbwaiters too or service lifts. The 18th and 19th century dumbwaiter tables were also used to carry food, they usually had wheels at the legs like this one. Perhaps that's why they share the same name, I dunno. :dunno: I don't have my own 3D printer no, I had them printed by someone else in the frosted "ultra detail" kind of plastic, Now I kinda wish I had paid more to have my chairs printed in the same material, the details look much sharper.
