Emerald

So it is major reinforcment....found and learned that I should have gone with thicker walls, and thought I was done, SO have to work around crown moulding and baseboards on first floor.  However we are figuring it out.  After many many photos of real pillars, I decide to make 2 that give the appearance of a cut out in the center.  The 2nd photo was fuzzy but I love the light coming through with the ceiling on.  There will be lots of reinforcments on first and 2nd floor.  Your encouragement is appreciated as always.

Those stairs are great! And I like the cut out on the pillar. Nice detail. :D

Sorry you've been having trouble. But you'll get there in the end.

Your scructure is quite big, after so much work it's best to make sure it's sturdy and long lasting :)

Great work on the pilar, love how you're making all the components you have great talent for this, everything looks so sleek and perfectly cut!

Thank you everyone for your inspiration and support.  I am learning as I go.  I will keep you all posted.  The FUN is making all the components because there are not many out there and the CHALLENGE is making everything because they are not out there.  There ARE places that have 1/8 (which is close).  I found one in USA called manchesterwoodworks.  There are more things that I can get closer to correct size.  Many square dowels, small size moldings and craft wood can be gotten at people home improvement centers.  Of course many pieces of strip wood are gotten from miniature sites and craft stores.

AGAIN EVERYONE...THANK YOUR COMMENTS....YOU ARE APPRECIATED.
