My house does not have any 'inhabitants' planned but I am trying a sort of theme: the rooms on the left will be a bit more 'feminine' and the rooms on the right a bit more 'masculine', something subtle. So to this bedroom I've added a shaving stand, and maybe in the future some suitcases, a tierack or other 'manlier' accessories... just no more sawdust! (even thou I heard that is quite manly as well.. ;P)

You know each time you post a new photo Ashley I look over at the 'Scottish Puffer' boat diorama in my office (which is 1/24th) and I wonder how on earth you got what you get into this 'Tardis' like creation!........but you do and it's a joy!

I will be happy if at least I can help disprove the "you can't get detail in 1:24 scale" myth :)

Several years working with 1:36 models, it's all about 'make believe' there is more than what we are seeing. The hardest part is making those tiny picture frames (as in the bedstand), if I accidentaly drop one in midst of all the papper scraps it might be lost forever lol.

Another beautiful room!  And now I know where you get the tiny picture frames--you make them!  Do you use the Green Stuff for that?  Love the idea of a tie rack.  Isn't it funny how rooms will take on a personality, even with no inhabitants?

I use plastic bits for the tiny frames, cut and sanded then painted with enamel. Green stuff works for plastic too, as well as metal and resin. The larger resin frames for the walls I get from CathieFilian on etsy, they are scrapbooking supplies but look really nice as small or medium sized paintings for 1:24 scale, or picture frames for 1:12.

Definitelly, sometimes houses seam take on a personality of their own :)
