I really like the shape of your shingles. Did you cut them like that or did they come pre-made?

I've used the shingles that came with the Fairfield kit in their original shape, no changes. One side comes in that triangular shape and the other is square, some people use the square end instead which also looks nice. I really like these shingles too, the wood has a very nice texture and when the light hits the stain gets this really nice soft sheen.

The slight variation in color shading on the shingles is a really nice touch.
