Another shot, where you can see the shingles against the siding. I tried to find a silvery-gray color that I liked, but nothing satisfied, and I realized that part of the problem was that it was just too similar to the paint color.  I followed Ashley(Wormwoodz)'s suggestion and went with a black stain, and really like the higher contrast.
