Wow! Looks like something from the 60s or 70s! The scale of the wallpaper is definately not to scale to a dollhouse. What a challenge!

My sister-in-law got a 6-room + attic dollhouse from a yard sale in the early 1980s. In 1988 I renovated it for her second daughter. Then, again in 2000, I was given the dollhouse so I re-renovated it for my granddaughter. I can really appreciate the work that goes into the renovations.

The first dollhouse I built from a kit was in 1981 and was a big farm type house for my daughter. I was hooked before I ever put that one together. I have a Shannandoah log cabin to put together for my grandson (that one is mind-boggling!), and just bought an older Adirondack log cabin for him to use now since I've had his kit for a few years without finishing it. He will be too old for it soon. Plus, my sister gave me one she bought for her two boys in the 80s (hoping they would do it from an architectual viewpoint) and it has three stories, front-opening, and nine or ten rooms. My grandson wants to build a fourth floor on it. Unfortunately, right now it is being used for a bookcase. Oh well, someday they will be finished and electrified, and look nice. At least the Victorian one survived flood waters in 2003 when our house was flooded by Hurricane Isabel. I do have to get new interior walls and windows. I love dollhouses! :p
