I'm quite happy with how the sewing machine turned out, but I might have to make a new chair as the wood used in this one is a bit too thick for small scale. I've started redoing some of my old minis as I realize my skills have improved a lot with experience, it's time consuming but it's good to practise and learn from my mistakes.

I am going to start my Fairfield soon I hope.  I have been really enjoying yours!  What a beautiful piano!   I've been trying to buy some of those magnets to use also but the sellers want ridiculous prices for them.  I am sure they know that we use them for our houses.  Anyway,  nice job your house is beautiful!

Thank you, it's a very nice and versatile kit, I love seeing what others did with this house as well :)

The piano is a JBM retired piece I think, can't be sure as it's no longer on their website but it has a label on the bottom. It can be specially hard to find upright pianos in this scale, there is not a lot of options to pick from unfortunatelly. I am always on the lookout for preowned pieces in good shape, sometimes I'm lucky and find just what I was looking for.

The piano is still available.  I found it at https://www.mountainminiatures.com/mountain-miniatures-1-2-scale-black-victorian-upright-piano.htm However, I have a question for Ashley.  Am I reading your description correctly--did you make that little sewing machine yourself?  That is just amazing!  What did you use?  Your Fairfield is so beautiful, I keep being embarrassed to post my own pictures.  :)  Great, great job!

Thanks for the link, there is also a cane chair from them I'm trying to find but for some reason they no longer list it. Yes I did the machine myself! I've built the table out of pieces from a Japanese diorama by Cobaanii, you can find this kit on Amazon or other specialized stores, and the sewing machine on top is by Phoenix Models from the UK. Both kits come unassembled and unpainted but it's easy to put together and have a very realistic looking machine :)

So beautiful!!! I love the details you put into this. Inspired me to keep working on my Fairfield--two years and I'm still working on it!

Well, you did a fantastic job.  Thank you for the links.  I had never heard of Cobaanii before.  Very interesting items!

I really recomend these kits, I find their 'iron' pieces really lovelly, just make sure to check and compare the price on their website as I've seen some sellers trying to overprice these kits when they are actually very cheap. The only downside of diorama items is they are ~very~ fragile and for display purposes only, but they do look amazing! :)
