For what it's worth, I like #2 better. It seems like a better flow of design downwards to the baseboard.

OMG it's stunning! I have that wall paper in my Lily too but, you wainscoting is outrageous! <3

I agree with Kathie, better flow of design. I'm no expert, but this is more pleasing to my eye.  

And I love wallpaper you've chosen! It is going to be a beautiful room!
