Emerald 1,027 Posted November 16, 2016 This 1/6 scale Bay Window House will be a stackable design which I used for my 1/12 scale room boxes and like a bookcase. Debora Odell's stackables in her JPMorgan dollhouse and her 1/6 scale manor house are an influence as well. The house will be 36"L x 24"D x 20"H. The design is to have the bay window take 1/3 of the 36" length of the front. The big board is the bottom floor and will sit on a flat furniture dolly I got at Menards for $20 (1,000#). This floor will be distressed with 4 colors of paint, sanded and stained with a light golden oak. The inside and maybe outside walls I am testing now. I want to do the distressed 4 colors of the downton stone stairwell, sanded and use miniwax water based either/and "honeydew" (soft yellow off white tint) and/or "pickled white wash" soft white stain. The FIREPLACE will have a stone wall made from backsplash raised soft brown natural stone. It is planned to be an 8" or bigger removable wall. The fireplace will either be designed from modern electric "in the wall" type fireplace or maybe a standing fireplace. This Bay Window house is more modern design. 1 Quote Link to comment
