So beautiful... love your paper choices, your color scheme. and of course your newel posts!

Thank you, Debora.  I fell in love with the bathroom wallpaper, partly because it's called Rebeca, which happens to be my daughter's name.  The daughter that married last Christmas and now lives in England with her husband.  The color on the walls in this hallway, and in the main stairwell, is actually paint, the same color we have in our home on the walls of our entry and up the stairs, I had a bit on hand for touch ups.  With our daughter (finally) gone, my husband and I have decided it's time to downsize to a single story home.  We are not resigned, we are very excited, but there are some elements of this lovely home that I will miss and will always remember, and am trying to capture, in miniature.

The newel posts, well, they don't match the ones we have in our home, nor did any that I found pre-fab.  One thing I did find, though, newel posts are fun to design and not that difficult to make.  As are windows, doors and cabinets.  If you're into that kind of stuff.
