The mailbox.

I carved out a mailbox shelf next to the front door. I still can't decide if it should be square or leave it this shape. I planned to edge it in brick or stone.
I'm going to leave the outside open and when the house is finished, I'll put some letters and stuff in the box. The inside of the entry will have a little door to get into the box without going outside. I am also thinking of putting a bell pull in the outside box, so the mailman can ring the bell when he delivers the mail.
Of course, after I did the box, it occurred to me that if my little people were living in the country, they would go to town and pick up their mail from the post office. That's me, always thinking ahead. *sigh*
