I love Pledge, but have to admit -- when it comes to rehabs like this I typically turn to Murphy's Oil Soap first. You can already tell a huge difference with the cleanliness though!  Can't wait to see your progress on this!

I just wanted to use as little water as possible, I was worried about the wood warping on me. It was really gross!!! I actually found an empty moth chrysalis stuck in one of the bottom room corners D:

Can't say I blame you one bit on that thought. All I can say in regards to the moth chrysalis is it could be worse... you could walk out to wolf spiders shedding their skins like I did the other day. I have no real issue with insect life in general -- but when the flipping things are as big as your hand... definitely made me take notice! lol

Just a note about the Pledge. It contains wax and silicone, so paint, glue, wallpaper paste, etc. may not stick. I would wipe it down thoroughly with mineral spirits (it won't warp the wood, and is a great cleaner) and then sand thoroughly. You may also want to use a good coat or two of shellac to seal in that residue, so that everything else will stick. It looks like a great house, and I can see it being a great stone house!
