Finished: In the dining room looking into the livingroom

I have been wondering about something, I am guessing the walls of the house are not as thick as the door jam, is the illusion of thick walls achieved with your  doorway trim or did you add a layer of wood on that partition wall? How ever you accomplished it, the result is excellent.
