Carerra Top from Paperclay

Sable

My cabinet making skills are still lacking. However, I thought I'd share how I made the vanity top. I flattened out white paperclay and placed a line of slate acrylic paint on the diagonal. I folded the clay in half, then twisted it a few times and rolled it flat again.

What a clever idea! It looks like real marble! You did a great job cutting the edges straight and sealing it, too! The cabinets are very good, too! The only reason we all find flaws anymore is because our cameras have too many pixels! I am excited to see the bathroom all put together, Sable!

That looks great. And, you didn't have any shrinkage problems (one of my problems) - did you make it a little bigger to account for it in case it shrank?

I made a large sheet of it weeks ago so it had plenty of time to shrink. Then I cut out the size needed for this project.
