Working on the area rug for living room!

Myangela

Spent this past week (plus) designing, charting and stitching on idea samples for the living room area rug.  Based on an antique Aubusson I found on Pinterest.  If I can make it, I can has it, in my miniature home!  Peachy roses with a baby blue and ecru alternating bands for background.  Finished stitching the medallion center today.

Beautiful!  That will be lovely in your house.  Do you start with any of the picture-to-cross stitch sites/software out there, or do you chart completely by hand?

I've been diagraming by hand on graph paper.  I tried an on-line photo to cross stitch  on the last rug, but I wasn't very happy with the what it came up with.  I have looked at a couple of the software programs for charting, and am tempted to get one, but don't know which one would work best for me.

Thank you, Mike.  What else would I do, right?  Besides, another computer program to master, I still haven't spent enough time (evidently) to learn how to operate my computer driven paper cutter!
