I'm spackling the tabs. My spackle wasn't in very good shape though, so I will add more tomorrow, then I can sand it and touch up the sides.

I decided to do a copper roof on the bay. I probably should have speckled that to smooth it out before I painted it, but the spackle was so bad that I couldn't. I used 1/16th basswood for the strips, and mixed Pearl-Ex Super Bronze with water based varnish for the copper, then used a coat of clear varnish over that. I decided not to patina it, because my granddaughter will like it better this way.

Thanks! I really like it in person, so much better than the shingled one on my first Orchid. It's not quite as rough in person as it looks in the photo. My mother actually thought I used real metal on it until she looked at it more closely.
