MLI Designs

I am starting to make my lighting for my dollhouse. I thought I would share as I think it's pretty cool looking, especially if the Industrial and Restoration Hardware looks turns you on.

I purchased a basic wired dome light (online). I did a base color paint of brown chalkpaint. After that was dry, I sponged a combo of black and metallic bronze acrylic paint.

I used a basic wire in a circle shape that fits against the inside rim. I then used bronze 2" Head pins. I alternated between a clear seed bead and a bicone 2mm Swarovski crystal to create the hanging crystals. Used wire clippers and round nose players to cut and bend head pins. I slid all the hanging crystals on the round wire. I placed all crystals drops in place and crazy glued them.

Once that was dried, I used epoxy glue to secure round wire rim with crystals inside light fixture.

FYI, I used 9 beads on each drop. I think next time I would use 6 or 7 beads.
