Rewired lights

minikelli

These were the dirty and beat up looking lights from before. Was getting ready to wire them in and all of a sudden the bulbs didn't want to work... So had my first lesson in removing old bulbs and rewiring completely with sockets so that if a bulb burns out again I can just reach in and twist it out of the socket. Have to be honest I like the look of the round bulbs better anyways, and they do all light now!  :)

I had this happen to me once and I learned it was because their are two little wires soldered to the screw base, and when that touches other metal (like the metal in my shades), it shorted itself out. Now I know FFR to coat the socket end in silicone glue before I try this again! Good luck! Everything is coming out very nicely!
