interior moldings

Debora59

I made it all the way across the front to the chapel, before I ran out of mat board, so worked on the door casings that I am replacing, I am thinking about th mat board for interior window frames this time with a dark wood color. I have been trimming out the interior rooms with crown molding and baseboard. When finished the back wall board will have side walls and a narrow ceiling that slides over those doorways and fits up against the original house.

The amount of moldings that you have to create is just mind-boggling to me!    But oh- how beautifully you do it!  :D

I just want to see more, I want a house like that :)

Thank you I will post more. If you could get a house like this would you prefer it finished or a clean slate? I should take a poll. I may sell it when finished you never know, but whos got room for an 8.5 ft doll house?

All of your work is mind boggling to me too. This is amazing!

Thank you Ladies, making the window frames out of mat board has helped me tremendously with this house, The crown moldings and baseboard are more than half completed at this point too. Its come so far so fast in the last 2 weeks.

personally I would like it finished and lighted, of course I imagine myself as a wealthy grand dame (much like the mother in law from Downton Abbey) sorry to go off track. :)

As far as furnished or unfurnished, maybe it would be better to list it at one price with furniture, and a lower price without. Some people have lots of money, and want everything at once, while others have lots of money but would love it without furniture because they enjoy the search for unique pieces. (I say lots of money because I'm thinking that a house like this one should be worth a lot, plus, it would have to go to someone with a big house)!

All great ideas! Thank you. I am one of those people who enjoy the search for unusual pieces and love interior design, I personally like the exteriors finished but am willing to take the reigns on an unfinished exterior like this one because it is so unusual!
