Stairs and front door

jbnmini

Finished stairs and front door.  The replacement door was shorter than the old one, so I had to improvise filling in the extra space on the interior. I also added a small strip of trim on the door frame to create a door stop since little hands tend to push little doors beyond their intended swing range.  :)  The interior door jamb in framed in larger grooved trim and the bottom fitted with a teeny bit of quarter-round.  Perfect finish to cover the little gap at the bottom!

I like the extra trim at the top! Doesn't look like a "fix" at all. Makes the front door seem more special. Love it.
