My idea didnt work

So I thought I needed to try something different with the windows, I tore out all the plexi glass I put in a few years back, some of it was falling down. Then I had the idea to paint the inside of the windows a lighter color and establish a line between window and wall, because there is no line, and then add window trim later. I don't like the light color, even though I carefully taped, it still bleed in areas. Now I will need to go back and repaint and try to regain the rich dark color. As I worked on the right side of the room I also wiped all the wood paneling down with dark furniture polish, every wall without wallpaper needs it. I am enjoying cleaning this house up, as they say time you enjoyed is not wasted time.
