haha, yes I removed all shingles, I have a grocery bag full of them. I will use some of them on this project others I will save for other projects, ( oh my I used a plural 'projects' means I am already looking forward to more builds). I am going to use those shingles on the top of both sides as decorative part , on attic portion only, first two floors will be the siding, third will be those shingles.

I decided, on this house anyway,  I like the look of a square roof shingle. It is unfortunate that no company makes them like this anymore, they are so thick!

miniatures.com sells a new version of them- the catalog says you can paint them with that stone-fleck paint.  I want to buy some at some point just to see how they work/look compared to the old asphalt shingles.
