Kitchen progress

Myangela

Let's not get into how much time I spend on this, or any of my mini projects, for that matter.  Finished the kitchen window today.  So happy with how it turned out.

Really want a gas stove top for this kitchen and have been working that creative endeavor with a madness only understood by our ilk!

OMG, you are going to blow me away. It looks gorgeous now. I can only imagine what it will be like when it's finished.

do you make all the cabinetry yourself (no hubby I mean).

Hubby works on his N-scale railroad and we sit across from each other at our shared work station most every waking hour.  It is a bit of heaven for us.  I do make all my cabinets, and for this house, I'm making my own windows, too.  When I got started on dollhouses (just a little over two years ago) the pre-fab products were either out of my price range or didn't look the part.  My left brain and my right brain have served me well!  I don't always "hit it out of the park" and I have quite a few prototypes to prove it, but I encourage anyone to build what you want, when you can.  The gas stovetop is a new idea, spent a lot of time on that yesterday and today.  Not ready to give up on it just yet, I think I might be really close!

It's just beautiful.

So I have to learn from you. What tools are a must for building on your own? My father said he will buy me a couple for Mother's Day but I have no idea what I need

It looks beautiful. Watching yours and Debora's scratch builds makes me think that my next house after the Japanese one will be scratch. (Not counting the Orchid my granddaughter wants).

I actually prefer building modular houses. The first one I started way back in the late 1970's was modular, and this Japanese one is as well.

What a nice way to work together!.......Looking forward to seeing the gas hob Amy, I have a feeling we might be treated to something rather special!

After spending too much time fiddling with it, l just gave up!  I ordered a kit from Elf Miniatures.
