Dad's square

Shareb

My Dad's square - he came from a town in England called St Ives that has this medieval bridge over the river.  He was a Morris Dancer which we found out not long before his sudden death - so the bell is a nod to that.  He worked on the ships and that is where he met my  mum - her and her mother were travelling to England for a holiday.  The greenery and fern show how thoroughly he made New Zealand his home.  He loved it here and was more Kiwi than many native Kiwis.  He knew all about the native plants and we would go on bush walks and he would tell us about the native flora and fauna.  On the other side of the box are tools - he was a boilermaker by trade - an engineer.
