Day six

Myangela

did a lot more frogging than stitching yesterday, hit more of a stride today.  I have never been able to do counted cross stitch, although I have tried.  Embroidery? No problem.  But, I want this carpet.  Really, really want this carpet.  So, learning a lot, with the patience of a freaking saint, at times.  If I can make it, I can has, in miniature!

It's getting more beautiful every day. That room is gorgeous too!

I know what you mean about wanting something so badly that you learn to make it yourself. I never wanted to learn to knit, but one day I saw a beautiful Tyrolean sweater. It had cables and embroidered flowers. It was in a German book, and the instructions were in German. I didn't know any German at the time, but I wanted that sweater so bad that I learned to knit in German by following the instructions and knitting diagrams in that book.

The sweater is about 35 years old now, and doesn't look so good any more, but I still keep it in my sweater drawer because I loved it so much.

What a great story!  I have never been able to crochet, even when my mother was there to teach me!

Its spectacular already, I love how you have drawn on the color of your wall mural, for the carpet.

Thanks, Debora.  I spent about an hour in front of the floss display in Joann's with the book on rugs that I bought, a piece of the wallpaper, my notebook of notes and my reading glasses.  it was a serous piece of business!

All that work picking out colors really paid off. It's going to be wonderful!

That's beautiful. I would not have the patience for that. Kudos to you

You just never know where miniatures may lead you!
