Recessed the French doors, thinking about doing that in the dining room, too.  It takes an inch off the back of the room, but the room is 16 inches deep.

It will be a well used inch! It adds another dimension to the room and the dining room as well......it makes the wall look so much more substantial.

It was an element that I really admired in the Thorn Rooms.
