thanks, Selkie!  I bought two arches and was so disappointed with their quality.  So I decided to try making them.  Already I'm happier with what I managed to work up!  Now, what to do with those arches I bought.

Hmmm? Maybe as part of an entrance to an outdoor gazebo type structure that doesn't need as high of a quality piece. 

Building it yourself is so much more satisfying.........and all the more so when it turns out like this!.....and I like the idea of the open archway into the room....it lends it an air of elegance somehow.

I can really relate to your comment, I have looked the world over, didn't find what I wanted so I built my own! But I will particularly enjoy watching this build the Beaumont was my 2nd kit, love what your doing already!

I'm not certain how much of the Beaumont is actually going to be in this build, but I'm ok with that!
