The domes are perfect! How did he do it?

The instructions he had for his cutter said to score the glass, dip in boiling water, dip in Ice water, a few times, back and forth. Tap the glass, and voila, it is supposed to seperate. Not so much. So, he remembered he has a small propane burner, he scored the tube, ran the flame along it, and dipped in the ice water. I think he had to tap it still, but it actually cracked
