Front doors, interior view

jbnmini

The interior of the front doors and foyer will not be very visible once the stairs are back in, so I thought I would get a shot of this for future reference.

I wanted to keep the look of the original doors, but the wood panels were never stained or sealed by the original builder and were in pretty bad shape. Therefore, I just cut panels from scraps of finished flooring left over from one of the other rooms and glued them over the old wood inserts. Ta Da! New and improved!

Will the inside of the outside doors remain unpainted? Looks like a challenge to do anything to them now that they're mounted.

[Edit: Oh wait ... since the stairs are removable and the doors open, you can get at them from the outside. :D  Glad I figured that out!]
