I just have to go pick it up. Looks huge. She said it fits Barbie. Can I even make that 1:12?

From the album:

If you can fill in the windows, move them, your house could have very tall ceilings .... It's so basic, undecorated, it could be okay, just depends on how much you want to do it, how much work you have to - do you have the time? Mostly? Do you want it? The accessories could be fun too

We were looking at an old Victorian to buy once, it had 14 foot ceilings downstairs and 11 foot upstairs, so that part shouldn"t be a problem anyway. Have fun! Cant wait to see what you do with it!

I decided as I was falling asleep last night, that it's a god wink. A little girl in foster care told me yesterday that she wanted a house for her barbies and I explained that I only have the smaller scale. Now, I will have this. Guess who gets it? :) I love when God smiles at me.

That sends shivers up my spine. Good for you Kari. You were at the right place at the right time for the house and the little girl. :):):)

Going back through every "Barbie" sized album I can find on here. Funny the Barbie house I have, I had thought to change it to 1:12 scale as well, and then it got set back in my storage area of my shop while I finished other houses. Then boom, a little girl looking for a home for her Barbie's -- felt like I held off on it for so long for this reason apparently. I do love your term of a "God wink"!

Thank you! It's such a big project. One I would rather not do again. Just the space is so limited, when the house is that big. It was a great experience to work with so much availability, as far as decor. There is certainly no shortage of plastic Barbie stuff out there. The girls still play with it, so it feels good. They promised that when they out grow it, they will pass it along to another child in foster care.
