I 590

DaveD1052

Working an average of 8 hours a day for 11 weeks in 2015, the home was finished for exhibition at March Art Madness on the eve of the March 25th drop-off day. I estimate that I have spent over 2000 hours working on it since 1980. The home is conservatively valued at $8000 based on some items I saw on the web.

The Sawnee Artists Association "March Art Madness" show had mostly all paintings, photography, ceramics and jewelry. I surprised everybody the day I dropped off the Mystery Thing. All they knew was that I was bringing a LARGE 3-D item. I usually submit watercolor paintings at shows.

There was only 1 award given (but alas no prize money) for this show. I WON!!! All Glory is Mine!!

I felt a total let-down after working so hard for 3 months. This will probably be my last project of this magnitude. Back to painting, I think.

Thanks for viewing my gallery!

David

Thanks.  Most of the floors, walls and ceilings were 90 completed and stored in layers in 7 boxes.  I had to design and build the exterior shell, front panel, inside hallway and roof.  Assembled and wired everything.   Worked about 800 hours during a 10 week period this year, sometimes as much as 16 hours a day to meet the art show deadline.

You are certainly gifted in this area. I'd encourage you to not give it up entirely. Perhaps the next one is just of a different magnitude.

Maybe an art gallery filled with your watercolors ....
