Um, not to sound dumb but I though you were already painting the room an ivory type color? Did I miss a post along the way?

Haha..no, you didn't miss anything :-) When Im done with the walls Im chalk painting all of the furniture :-) Im loving the idea of having cheerful green painted furniture. Also dreaming of a laminate wood "floating" floor, not sure yet if that will be possible, just one of the many ideas going through my head :-)

Almost done with the walls, thank goodness...a few more days. Theyre looking better than I had expected.

The other point of this picture is my formerly yucky, old blinds covered, dark paneled window that I couldn't reach 3 months ago because it had so much "stuff" piled up in front of it, is now a freshly painted pleasant window sill, a window that I can open and feel the breeze blow through and actually use the sill to spread out my paint samples. Its progress.

Have you looked at the newer "vinyl" (cannot remember that they are really called) floating planks? We installed them in our kitchen and dining room a few years ago. So easy to maintain with no scratches or dents yet. We bought wood looking with grain textured planks.

I know whatever you choose will be perfect for your room.

Yes, were definitely considering them. They have some that are water proof not just water resistant, that would be perfect.
