Back-to-back Victorianna -- first floor stairs

I used Houseworks stairs and made treads out of 1/32" wood veneer (not the same stuff I used for the floors). Since the stairs are slightly narrower than the kit stairs, I added a piece of strip wood to the edge that fills the gap and doubles as a baseboard. The newel post is handmade.
