Front Porch - Color scheme quandry

1martinimomma

Well, I finally got brave enough to post picture of my house construction.

I am trying to decide if I like this color scheme. I definitely like the red, dark blue and tan, just not sure about the teal. I painted the house the color the siding will be painted so I could see how all the colors would work together. Opinions and all comments are so welcome and wanted. The dark blue is on the middle porch trim and then there is a dab of it over by the oval window and under the red trim on the balcony.

I am getting ready to paint the dormers and want to make sure I have this right. There are so many pieces to paint on the dormers that I don't want to have to do it over if this paint scheme is wrong.

Mike,  thanks for your response.  I was trying to go for the painted lady look, but you might be right about the small scale.  Since this is my first house advice from the pros is much appreciated.

Any recommendations?  Drop the teal and just use the red, dark blue and tan?

I would drop the teal. I love the color, but next to the blue it looks green.

I am actually using almost the same colors dark tan, light tan, brown and blue with a little touch of red.

Looking good, my first dollhouse is the beacon also, learning a lot.
