Thanks, Mike. I made the window handles out of the foil from the foil around the top of a wine bottle. I call it my happy medium. I posted a tutorial on Greenleaf.

There are a couple of you tube videos on it. I found a website last year that gave pretty good instructions, but I don't have a link to it at this time. This is my fourth floor from Popsicle sticks. What I do is saw the rounded ends off, sand, one coat of wood stain, assemble on the floor space, usually one row at a time, glue with fabric glue, again, one row at a time, cutting to fit as I go. Also, varying the starting lead plank length to get the staggered abutments. Once glued in place I cover with wax paper and press them under the weight of a couple of bricks, usually overnight. The next day I sand them really well, give them one more coat of stain, let that dry and I start the coats of polyurethane, usually three or four, lightly sanding between coats, until the final coat.
