Reducing the size of a window

denkyem

I needed this window to be shorter/higher so it would fit over the kitchen counters. I had a piece of wall to fill in the hole from my previous modification where I turned 2 windows in to French doors. That's a standard 5 inch tall houseworks window I attacked with a saw and some glue. This window is on the front of the house over the porch. Gluing and filling not yet done as of this photo. I was able to blend this in adequately for my satisfaction, spackling the seam with drywall compound. There's a tiny seam if you're looking for it, but it's not easy to spot.
